What palera1n does

  • Runs the jailbreak process on supported devices (A8–A11 and some Apple T2 devices).
  • Works with Recovery/DFU modes and common actions: enter/exit recovery, reboot.
  • Diagnostics: device info, extended logging.
  • Safe-mode and revert options — depending on configuration.

Supported devices

From the project list: iPhone 6s/6s Plus/SE (2016)/7/7 Plus/8/8 Plus/X, iPad mini 4, iPad (5–7), iPad Pro (multiple generations), iPad Air 2, iPod touch (7th gen), Apple TV HD/4K (1st gen).

Important for A11
On A11 (iPhone X/8/8 Plus), passcode must be disabled in jailbroken state; on iOS 16 you may need to erase the device before starting.

Warnings

  • Use at your own risk: data loss or restore may be required.
  • Virtual machines without PCI passthrough usually do not work well.
  • If the device gets stuck in Recovery, use an exit-recovery tool or restore via iTunes/Finder.
